QASMI BOOK DEPOT
It was started in 1980 by mohammad Iqbal qasmi from a small shop near the Jama Masjid located on old out station road Rourkela.
Because Islamic bookstore was not available in the city due to which the students had to face a lot of problems.
From the beginning of the founder, Mr. Mohammad Iqbal qasmi, the purpose of doing business was to benefit people along with himself.
QASMI DAWAKHANA
Famous unani companies like Hamdard and Dawakhana tibbiya College etc., which have many useful and popular medicines, but no one was doing the business of this company in the whole state, these medicines had to be brought from other states for their use. Keeping in view the same needs of the people, in 2002 another new shop called Qasmi Dawakhana was opened in front of Qasmi book Depot.
Which Alhumdulillah still exist today and has grown over time according to the needs of the people and this shop has unani and Ayurvedic medicine, famous indian and imported brands attars, imported dates and dryfruits etc.
Now its name has been changed to qasmi sales corporation.
QASMI NAQAB CENTER
If it is said that people in the city were introduced to burqas by the Qasimi company, then it would not be wrong because they have been selling burqas from their book store the 1990s, but at that time their sales were very low. It was not that women did not veil. Women did not find the burqa comfortable for veiling. So they used to cover themselves with their dupattas and big sheets. From time to time, its demand started to increase, keeping in mind, after a long wait, another store of special burqas was opened near the mosque named Qasmi Niqab Center, which is still under the same name it is present in which many essentia items like Naqab, scarf, dulhan dupatta, cotton dupatta, Janmaaz, hajj ahram, leather socks etc.
